Obama is President Number 44!!! In the spirit of his election, i am republishing a list of Obama’s top 10 tv moments as found on a tubecount post. (See original post for the authors comments on each video as well).
This well arranged list includes moments of laugter, heartfelt speech, and of course the middle ground of a well prepared President-to-be.
AP reports: The executive who succeeded Jay-Z as the head of hip-hop music label Def Jam Recordings died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound near Atlanta, police said Sunday.
Executive vice president Shakir Stewart, 34, died on Saturday, his New York-based label said in a statement.
Stewart was found Saturday afternoon in the bathroom of his home in the Atlanta suburb of Marietta, Cobb County police spokeswoman Cassie Reece said Sunday. He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
Hip Hop News shares the statement of the company: “L.A. Reid and all of us at Island Def Jam Music Group are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend and colleague Shakir Stewart,” the statement reads. “Shakir was an amazing man, in every sense of the word. A truly incredible friend and father who was an inspiration to not only our artists and employees, but to his family and the many people who had the privilege of counting him as a friend. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family at this very difficult time.”
Stewart’s fiancée, Michelle Rivers, released a joint statement on behalf of his family and friends to thank everyone for their love and support. The statement also reveals that the high-ranking executive was “in deep pain and largely suffering in silence” prior to his death. Stewart’s friends and Def Jam co-workers also released a similar statement.
Palin was pranked by a Canadian radio station last night. The matter was reported by credible sources such as the MSNBC (Associated Press report) and commented upon by several blogs.
The prank comes at a critical time, when we are all counting down the hours to the US election, costing the Republicans much needed votes at the last minute. The matter is expected to receive significant coverage in Monday’s papers, and effect undecided voters.
With the double murder of Jennifer Hudson’s mother and brother, and Hudson’s niece missing, her estranged husband, William Balfour has been named a suspect.

On MySpace, Balfour calls himself “Flex” and describes himself in an entire paragraph of capital letters. Balfour/Flex typed on MySpace that “I HAVE A WIFE HER NAME IS JULIA, AND I ALSO HAVE A 6 YR OLD STEPSON, I DON’T TOLERATE BULLS**T, SO DON’T COME TO ME WITH IT” Balfour’s motto on MySpace is “FLEX A MILLION, THATS WHAT U BETTER CALL ME.”
So Jennifer Hudson’s mother and brother have been murdered. Not trash. One really wonders what could have caused this double-murder. Perez Hilton has written extensively about it. According to him- “The shooting is believed to be domestic, police said.”
Reuters: The Chicago Tribune said one of the victims was Hudson’s mother, Darnell Donnerson. The entertainment website TMZ, citing a neighbor, said Hudson’s brother Jason also was found dead.
A cousin who lived nearby discovered the bodies, TMZ said. The Tribune, quoting police, said the killings may be linked to a domestic disturbance.
o Larry Flynt, porn mogul is launching a film entitled “Who’s Nailin’ Palin”. A teaser of the film was leaked on you-tube last night, but was pulled by this morning by claims of copyright by the Larry Flynt Productions company.
This kind of thing is absolutely terrible. Palin is absolutely not suitable for the VP position in my opinion, but making porn to ridicule her is absolutely ridiculous. And yes, Flynt will probably be sued and fined and all kinds of things, but unfortunately this will only increase the spread of the film- not to mention sell more of the merchandise he has branded with her face.
I just don’t think (or at least i’d like to hope) something like this could ever happen in Europe. It’s shameful.
On second thought, I really wonder how this will affect her ratings…
Buzz, USA- Larry Flynt, the founder of the Hustler empire, released a teaser for his porn film Who’s Nailin’ Palin? There’s also a website devoted entirely to memorabilia stamped with Palin’s face and the acronym VPILF (you can work that one out) – which includes, jarringly, a maternity T-shirt.
Independent, UK- It was inevitable but the first (work safe) teaser for Sarah Palin-inspired porn flick ‘Who’s Nailin’ Palin’ is proving a huge success on YouTube. The brief clip shows a Palin lookalike improving diplomatic relations with a pair of Russians.
I just don’t think (or at least i’d like to hope) something like this could ever happen in Europe. It’s shameful.
